The Weekly Top Foooorteen!
Are you ready for the Carnival Countdown?

(I have been racking my brains for some clever way of tying together all this mundanity, but apparently I am a Bear Of Very Little Brain. As such, I am resorting to the Dick Clark Countdown Method of organization. Proceed at your own risk, my friends.)

This week we start rockin right out of the gate, with an elegant ditty titled " Storm Watch". As per usual, the extremely popular Inspired By A True Story has tapped into the conciousness of a whole generation.

Number thirteen is an inspired take on the 'house on fire' school of music by Randomyak, a witty little thing entitled " Confessions Of A Peanut Burner" . Smokin'.

At number twelve we have Postmoderne Sprachspielen, who said in her last interview, " What could be more mundane than stories of scatology? Come on, we all do it, every day. And most of the time, it's not as embarrasing as Postmodern Sass's poop and pee stories." All we can say is, dig that crazy beat.

At number eleven we have the raucous rendition of insane re-gifting courtesy of Daisy Mae: That's right, it's "Pandora's Box" !

Debuting at number ten, we have Suldog-O-Rama's punk inspired ode to the temper tantrum with "It's a Guy Thing".

With the first of three hits currently in the countdown, here's Muse's word verification lament
"Just Too Much" at number nine.

A sweet serenade at number eight! Here's Emergiblog with " A Nursing Study".

Back at number seven for the second week in a row, the gentle Muse favorite "Meanwhile...".

At number six we have Randomyak's classic take on a well known Dilemma with "The Day I Replaced The Roll ".

For our number five hit, Multiple Mentality's Josh Cohen is the promoter for Jonathan Coulter's" Flickr".

Muse is back, and the hits just keep on coming, with the jittery beat of " Nervous Wreck" at number four.

Miriam's Ideas is here at last and their project is an ode to the Postal Service called "Speaking Up For A Persecuted Minority". Number three, and moving up!

At number two we have the surprise hit of 2006-Boston Gal's Open Wallet, a Jane Dough side project, with the bittersweet cooking tale of " *sigh* ". This will definitely strike a chord with the listeners!

And, finally, our number one hit this week is.....

Marcia Adair, with her feel good hit, " Newborns In Snowsuits". Destined to be an instant
classic!

Well, that's all for the January 20, 2006 edition of the Carnival of The Mundane Countdown! Thanks for listening and we'll see you next time, February 2, 2006 in our new home, the amazing Colla Voce!

Until Then, Rock On !
