Post 189: In Which I Recount My Weekend Spent Watching My Goldfish Poop
And before you, my 7 loyal readers, start getting all smart alecky and asking me if there wasn't anything better on TV, let me mention that Stick has been having trouble with his swim bladder. That means that every time he stops swimming he floats to the top of the tank, and while this may seem amusing, it is not good.

I have been feeding him peeled peas, and so have had to watch his poop, because that is how you can tell if the obstruction that some people believe causes swim bladder problems is being rectified.

There was plenty of good stuff on TV this weekend, believe you me.

Although the Sox lost to Tampa Bay, which is kinda humiliating....OMG! The UPS truck just pulled up! My shiny new Pocket PC! Hooray! Gotta Go! Tell you all about it later!

My sister once had a goldfish which committed suicide by leaping from its tank onto the carpet. I didn't want to touch it, so I ran and reported the incident to my mother (I was about six). She scooped it up and put it back in the tank, but it kept floating back to the top. My sister tried to help it by holding it underwater, but it eventually died like all of her other pets. I got blamed for that one since I didn't pick it up and toss it back in, but I got blamed for everything in that house so I didn't care. To this day, I still view fish as food and not friends. But I hope yours is okay.

Grant- Your sister sounds like a pill. You would like Stick, named for the fishstick. It's important to remember how close to food they are.

Kevin- Stick is a fantailed goldfish, and besides the peas will also eat a blanched lettuce leaf.
Of course, he won't touch the chicken nuggets, but he will eat properly prepared shrimp. He's a weirdo, is our Stick.
