Simple Tips for Article Marketing and Article Directories

Are you doing article marketing right now in your internet business? Many people don't, and due to the recent updates to the Google algorithms (Panda and Penguin for example), many online business owners feel that it's a pretty useless way to drive traffic to their website. Some people even feel that article directories aren't even there to get traffic from?

People who believe this say that "article directory marketing" should only be used for syndication purposes. But to rely strictly on traffic from an article directory is a big no-no. I personally disagree with this notion. I'm a big fan of getting targeted website traffic by all legal and moral means, so when it comes to article marketing, I think article directories should play a huge part in my marketing strategy.

And I submit to the article directories everyday - and I think you should too. The fact of the matter is that you can still get a lot of traffic from the article directories, but you have to do it on a consistent basis. Which is the same way how everything else works online. I could point out multiple instances where this is true.

If you want to boost your sales every month, keep doing backend marketing. If you want to land more new customers, start an email newsletter. If you want to have more of an impact on the social media scene, focus more of your attention on social marketing. These are things that are very important if you want to have the successful and thriving online business that you are looking for.

Now back to my point. Even though the traffic amount of my article marketing efforts have slightly declined, guess what? I still get traffic from the article directories! This obviously means that it still works, and that you can still get some traffic from it. And the more articles you write, the more traffic you will get to your website.

It'll probably be best if you write your content yourself. Sure you could outsource the article writing to someone else, but no writer knows your niche like you do. It's fairly easy to write a simple article per day and put it up on the article directories, so I think you should consider doing it each and every day.

When writing your articles for the article directories, you will want to make sure that you write for humans - not for search engines. I have seen articles that make absolutely no sense at all, and at the end of the article the author has a link to their website about how to be a great article writer.

Like I said, it doesn't make sense.

You will want to steer clear of this, and write articles that come originally from you. Your goal is to be perceived as the obvious expert in your niche, win people over with your content, and get them to want to learn more about you and your products and services. This is the best way to go about your article marketing efforts.
